Nicole Foss, BSc, LLM (President) is President of ANF Energy Solutions Inc. As a Research Fellow with the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, Ms. Foss previously published on Nuclear Safety and International Governance in Eastern Europe and worked in the field of European Energy Policy, particularly focusing on the electricity sector and the Internal Energy Market. Prior to that she practiced as an environmental consultant in the United Kingdom. Her academic background includes an LLM in Law in Development from Warwick University, a diploma in Air and Water Pollution Control from the University of Westminster, and a BSc in biology from Carleton University.
 

Aidan Foss PhD, P.Eng., SMIEEE (Principal Engineer) has 30 years of professional engineering experience covering power, control, software and simulation. A graduate in mathematics from Cambridge University with a doctorate in turbine control from Imperial College, Aidan specialized in computer control and simulation and was Vice-Chairman of the United Kingdom Simulation Council. Through the National Grid Company, Aidan focused on power applications, including auditing of generator-grid interconnection, generator controls and power quality. As the Principal Engineer of ANF Energy Solutions Inc., Aidan provides distributed generation technical services covering power-plant automation, protection, and grid connection. Associations: IEEE 1020 Working Group Member: Small Hydro Control, COGEN Canada Board of Advisors, IEEE Ottawa Electrical Power Symposia Founder and Co-chair (2001-2006), OSEA Community Power Fund - Technical Evaluation Committee member.
 

Kalle Leppik, P.Eng., MIEEE (Senior Engineer) obtained a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa in 1981. For over 25 years, he has been involved in instrumentation and control, including PLCs and Digital Signal Processing. Achievements include: 1) Reduced the electric bill by 40% at the Canadian embassy in Ankara Turkey through the installation of reactive power compensation. 2) Implemented control and instrumentation for the world’s only Whole Body Calorimeter at Ottawa University. 3) Designed the automated tooling to retube reactor cores at the CANDU nuclear reactors at the Bruce Power Plant. For the past two years Kalle has worked with ANF Energy Solutions Inc. on grid inter-connections, specializing in detailed design, equipment procurement and ESA approvals.
